Getting to Benijofar is easy – it’s 35 kilometres from Alicante airport and around 40 kilometres to Murcia San Javier airport.

Benijofar is a lively village, where the needs of the tourist trade are nicely balanced with a typically Spanish pace of life. In July, the village celebrates the festival of San Jaime – 6 days of feasting and fun. Benijofar has a long history, dating back to the time of the Arab conquest in the 9th-13th centuries (the name Benijofar loosely translates to “son of pearl” in Arabic).
